Once again, he depicted machinery in the landscape - this was a home-made device'. (Hodge, 2015) Fascinated by the working landscape, the worker, although not present, is referenced by his tools. Note the waterwheel is centrally placed in an attractive pastoral setting with geese swimming in the stream with gentle sunlight cast over landscape shades of blues, greens and browns. Printed to original size.
