'Wiltshire Landscape' by Eric Ravilious 1903 - 1942 (A533)
Greeting card reproduced from an original painting by Eric Ravilious. 140 x 170mm with grey craft paper envelope. Recycled and/or FSC approved materials. Biodegradeable packaging. Published by Art Angels. Painted in April, 1937, 'Wiltshire Landscape' was sold at the Tooth exhibiton in 1939. This peaceful, bleak and beautiful undulating landscape is made up of several brushstrokes overlaid on each other. It is cleverly composed, with the line of telegraph poles giving a sense of depth, distance and perspective. The toy-like red van was added later by Ravilious.
