Watercolour on paper. As so often in Palmer’s work there’s a discernible narrative here, but such glories of the natural world as well. The title is full of puns: the artist draws i.e. sketches across the ochre colour; he also draws - i.e. traverses across the ochre fields. But the sky is blue; it is high summer; the leaves literally shimmer, and you seemingly travel, up and down dale, to the very top of the world in this print. (source: BookroomArtPress)
