Arthur Homeshaw was born 27th November 1933, Bristol. He studied at the West of England College of Art gaining an NDD in illustration and specialising in wood engraving. Arthur gained his Art Teachers Diploma following national service and taught Art in Devon from 1957 to 1992 until his retirement. He was a member of the Royal West Academy, where his work is regularly exhibited. Arthur Homeshaw was recognised as one of the finest linocut artists in Britain. Many of his linocuts have been purchased by the Victoria and Albert Museum for their collections.
